The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) is the United Nations body for assessing the science related to climate change.

The IPCC Working Group II (WGII) recently assessed the impact of climate change on ecosystems and biodiversity, as well as the economic and social cost to societies around the world.

It's latest major report was published in February 2022.

For this edition of Climate Smart Africa, we interviewed Edmond Totin, a research scientist and one of the contributing authors to the IPCC WGII report.
