What’s your role at AICCRA and the journey that led you here?  

I help to coordinate the team of communications officers working on the AICCRA project, with a focus on advising and creating strategic digital content and social media for our knowledge products, events, work and feature stories. AICCRA's teams and our network of national and regional partners are involved in activities scaling climate-smart agriculture and climate innovation services across Africa, and communications plays a vital role in amplifying the importance of collaborative climate action on the continent.

From Zimbabwe, with experience living and working in the United States and the UK, much of my communciations career has been spent in niche areas with cross-cultural perspectives - synthesizing technical or scientific information and making it accessible for a range of audiences. I focused my studies on strategic communications in international development, with a particular focus on the role of comms in supporting sustainable and meaningful change. I have experience working with international organizations, donors, government institutions and non-profits in communications strategy development and implementation, content creation, social media management, design, writing, and events support.
