Bio

What’s your role at AICCRA and the journey that led you here?

I coordinate AICCRA’s regional cluster in Eastern and Southern Africa and support Ethiopia cluster based at the International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI) in Nairobi, working with CGIAR, regional and national partners.

Tell us why you think AICCRA can help deliver a climate-smart future for Africa?

East and Southern Africa (ESA) countries are among the most vulnerable to climate change and variability, and the region is considered a climate hotspot. AICCRA builds on the rich body of work from the CGIAR, continental, regional, national partners striving to support ESA countries to build resilient and sustainable food systems. AICCRA uses a holistic approach to the challenges of climate change adaptation, mitigation and food system transformation, with a major focus on climate-smart agriculture and climate information services.
