Bio

What’s your role at AICCRA and the journey that led you here?

I'm the scientific coordinator for AICCRA in Senegal (under ILRI's Sustainable Livestock System Program). I provide leadership and guidance, ensuring the delivery of outputs and outcomes for AICCRA's activities in Senegal, including partnership strengthening and the generation and dissemination of knowledge from research and innovations.

I have more than 20 years of experience working on climate change challenges, system modelling and forest resource management. I graduated from the University of Bonn (Germany) with a PhD in Agronomy focused on crop modelling. This helps me to have a systems approach perspective to ensure holistic approaches for the most relevant key issues to be addressed along project impact pathways.

Why do you believe AICCRA can help to deliver a climate-smart future for Africa?

AICCRA is developing and supporting ingenious partnerships for the delivery of climate-smart innovations at scale by working closely with our partners and stakeholders in the private and public sectors. AICCRA commits to delivering evidence-based solutions to build sustainable business models and provide a unique opportunity for connections between international, regional and national networks to maximize knowledge, innovation sharing, capacity building and inputs to solutions for the needs of our stakeholders.
