CGSpace

Abstract

Dryland agriculture is becoming increasingly important due to its economic and social significance. This working paper focuses on urgent issues related to improving agricultural production sustainably while also enhancing the dryland ecosystem. Firstly, it examines the challenges faced by dryland agricultural production systems in relation to climate change patterns in the dryland areas and their impact on Ethiopia's rural population. It also documents some useful experiences from East African countries that can be shared to enhance the production systems. This working paper is expected to offer practical solutions for developing drylands.
