Abstract

The Research Project Accelerating Impacts of CGIAR Climate Research for Africa (AICCRA) focuses on the integration of climate-smart agriculture (CSA)-climate information services (CIS) into curricula of Higher Education Institutions (HEIs). Therefore, AICCRA Zambia has undertaken a nationwide assessment of needs and pathways for integrating CSA–CIS into the curricula of Zambian HEIs. The assessment of needs and pathways was done by a survey method. The database of the Higher Education Authority (HEA) was used to select the participating HEIs, and an appropriate data collection tool was designed for this purpose. After the data collection, data analysis was done, and the findings were published in a report. However, there was a need to disseminate these findings to stakeholders and to obtain feedback from them on the findings of the survey on the assessment of needs and pathways for integration of CSA-CIS into the curricula of Zambian HEIs. Thus, a two-day stakeholders’ validation workshop of the findings on the nationwide assessment of needs and pathways for integration of CSA–CIS into the curricula of Zambian higher education institutions was held from the 3rd to 5th March, at the Kafue Gorge Regional Training Centre (KGRTC) Kafue, Zambia.
