Manuscript-unpublished Strengthening the integration of Africa’s climate, agriculture and food systems through enhanced policy coherence
Abstract
The integration of Africa’s climate, food and agricultural policy agendas is key to enhancing the continent’s resilience outcomes. This article explores tangible actions needed to strengthen Africa’s climate adaptation and mitigation responses in the agricultural sector, as well as to enhance resilience in the food and agricultural sectors. It also provides recommendations to strengthen Africa’s policy coherence at multiple
scales through enhancing the institutional and stakeholder environment that informs and influences climate-smart agriculture (CSA) policy development.
