Resilient Smallholder Agriculture: Co-Investment in Downstream Innovation
Hosted by the UN Foundation and featuring three examples of co-investment in smallholder-centered, downstream innovation, this virtual AIM for Climate Ideation event seeks to expand the conversation among AIM for Climate partners and other essential stakeholders.
Hauke Dahl, on behalf of AICCRA, will join the conversation to share insights and learnings from AICCRA's Zambia Accelerator program and other demand-led innovation activities.
About the event
Smallholders, rural communities, and value chain actors can build climate resilience when they have the necessary knowledge and resources to undertake context-specific innovation. The May Summit of the Agriculture Innovation Mission for Climate (AIM for Climate) initiative showcased a range of strategies for increasing investment in research and innovation for resilient smallholder agriculture.
Hosted by the UN Foundation and featuring three examples of co-investment in smallholder-centered, downstream innovation, this virtual AIM for Climate Ideation event seeks to expand the conversation among AIM for Climate partners and other essential stakeholders. Presenters from One Acre Fund, Clarmondial, and AICCRA will help us to explore alternative models for steering funding toward smallholder innovation including social enterprise service provision, demand-led research and readiness support, and de-risking through blended concessionary and commercial capital.
